The first fight poster of Russell Peltz legendary career.

Now, 50 years after his first promotion back in the days of the legendary Blue Horizon, Peltz will help put on a series of fantastic matchups on October 4th at 2300 Arena. Promoted by protege Michele Rosado and her company Raging Babe, Peltz will be in charge of the matchmaking, as well as being the night’s honoree.

Plenty of fights for long time fans and the newest Philly boxing heads.

The fight card is deep, headlined by high level prospect Victor Padilla. Padilla is signed to Lou DiBella Entertainment and seen by many boxing as having world championship level talent. At 5-0 with 5KOs he’ll be looking to keep both streaks intact against Romain Thomas (8-2 1KO) , his most dangerous foe yet.

That is just one of the eight fights in total that will be on the card. In addition to the frantic and fantastic action there will also be classic fight clips played throughout the evening celebrating legendary moments in Philadelphia boxing that Peltz helped create.

The fight card is full of up and coming fighters sure to put on a show for the special occasion. The projected fight card is on Boxrec and tickets for the event are available online at the 2300

In addition, two Peltz fighters are bound for the ring soon for very big fights. This weekend Philadelphia fighter Avery “A-Plus” Sparrow is set to take on Ryan Garcia, the highly touted Golden Boy prospect. A win for either could place the fighters on the cusp of a title opportunity. Then on November 2nd , Camden NJ’s own Jason Sosa looks to regain a world title as he takes on Miguel Berchelt in what promises to be another storied addition to the Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry.

Despite 50 years in the business Peltz is still on a world championship level, and continues to promote local fighters and put on incredible shows for one of the best boxing cities in the world. Philadelphia boxing and J. Russell Peltz are tied together, and despite the honors that have been awarded and are coming, there is still many more fights to make and champions to mold.
