Now that starting QB Sam Darnold is out and quarantine with Mono for week 3 vs the Cleveland browns back on Wednesday. All the talks has been surfacing around former Broncos QB and current back up ; now starter Treavor Siemian who the Jets look to keep things in order until Darnold returns which can take several weeks. Darnold who was at practice back on Wednesday but was sent home as he complained about a strep Throat, turns out he contracted Mono a non fatal illness that can cause fatigue, strep throat, loss of weight which are a few symptoms over time. The Jets had Darnold quarantine at his home to keep from infecting others. Siemian with a 13-11 record in 24 games with 5,686 yards and 30 touchdowns in his NFL career in 4 years is getting another opportunity to show what he can do in the NFL saying to the media “Just do my job,” Siemian said of his expectations. Siemian signed a 1 year 2 million deal with New York last season. And without their star RB Le’Veon Bell out for an MRI exam on his shoulder, his journey now begins starting with Cleveland on Monday night.
