Philadelphia: It has been five months since we saw the Philadelphia 76ers in-game action and that’s what we’re going to have on Tuesday night as the 76ers open the NBA preseason against Guangzhou Loong-Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia.
Below below are a couple things to keep an eye on for tonight’s game.
This is the second year in a row that the Sixers will be playing an international team in the preseason, last year the Sixers played a team from Australia. Most of the NBA teams are playing international teams as part of their preseason.
This will be the Sixers fans first opportunity to see the new Jumbotron at the Wells Fargo Center
Ben Simmons & Joel Embid:
A lot of fans are interested to see what Ben Simmons & Joel Embiid did in the offseason to make their game better, Ben Simmons has developed a jump shot and now the questions are will he not be afraid to take the jump shot during the games. With Joel Embiid, he worked on getting his body conditioned and also eat healthily.
This game would mark the NBA Debut of 2019 first-round pick Matisse Thybulle, Thybulle looked great in the Blue-White Scrimmage last week.
2018 first-round pick Zhaire Smith is back after missing most of the 2018-19 season with injury and what type of impact he can bring now that he is 100% healthy.
This would be the Sixers debut of Trey Burke, Al Horford, Kyle O’Quinn, Josh Richardson
