THE CITY OF LA PAYS TRIBUTE TO KOBE AND GIGI BRYANT IN MEMORIAL

YJMN KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN– THE CITY OF OF ANGELES ON MONDAY 2-24-2020 PAYS THEIR FINAL TRIBUTE TO KOBE AND GIGI BRYANT WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN A HELICOPTER CRASH BACK ON JANUARY 26, 2020. A PRIVATE FUNERAL WAS SET A SIDE TWO WEEKS AGO LAYING THEM TO REST AMONGST CLOSET FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

KOBE A 5 TIME WORLD CHAMPION AND SPENT HIS WHOLE ENTIRE CAREER WITHIN LA WAS A INSPIRATION TO THE CITY AND HELPED REVITALIZE ALONG WITH SHAQ, HARPER, AND GASOL, THE LAKERS WINNING TRADITION BACK TO WHERE THEY BELONG…WORLD CHAMPS. KOBE INVESTED TO WHAT MADE THE WNBA WHAT IS TODAY WITH HIS TIME AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME.

GIGI A PROTOTYPE OF HER FATHER, WITH THE DRIVE OF BEING THE BEST IN LIFE AND SPORTS, SHE BLOSSOM INTO WHAT WAS TO BECOME MAMBACITA FROM KOBE AND THE MAMBA MENTALITY , WITH THE MOTIVATION TO BE THE BEST IN THE WNBA. GIGI GOT A FULL SCHOLARSHIP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UCONN AT 13, WITH HER FATHERS TEACHING; TO CHANGE THE GAME FOR THE FUTURE.

THOUSANDS TURNED OUT TO GIVE THEIR LAST THOUGHTS AND RESPECTS TO KOBE AND GIGI BRYANT AT STAPLES CENTER IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIALEAD BY VANNESA BRYANT, JIMMY KIMMBEL, JERRY WEST, MICHEAL JORDAN, ALICIA KEYS, DRAYMOND GREEN, STEPH CURRY, MAGIC AND COOKIE JOHNSON, DIANA TURASI, LISA LESLIE, SHAQ, AHMAD RASHAD FORMER TEAMMATES, COACHES, AND OTHERS. KOBE’S DEATH WAS A DEVASTATING BLOW TO THE CITY, NBA, WNBA, COLLEGE BBALL, SOCCER, AND THE WORLD OVER CREATING THE MAMBA ACADEMY WHICH WAS RECENTLY RENAMED THE MAMBA AND MAMBACITA ACADEMY BY KOBE’S WIDOW VANESSA BRYANT IN HONOR OF HER DAUGHTER GIANNA BRYANT.

AS EVERYONE LOOKED ON ; THE SPOTLIGHT WAS ON THE WIFE/WIDOW/MOTHER OF KOBE AND GIGI BRYANT SHARING HER MEMORIES OF THEM AND THEIR LIFES TOGETHER AND WHAT WAS TO BECOME OF THEIR LIVES TOGETHER. WITH TEARS IN HER EYES AND A HEAVY HEART SHE EXPRESSED HOW SHE WILL MISSED THEM DEARLY AND SAID  “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. He had to bring them home to heaven together. Babe, you take care of our Gigi. I got Nani, BB, and Coco. We are still the best team. We love and miss you, booboo and Gigi. May you both rest in peace, and have fun in heaven until we meet again. We love you both, and miss you. Forever and always, mommy.”
